I thought it might be best to have the guide to account activation here rather than in a hidden section - so for your delectation, this is how to create and activate your Chrysalids account. 
1) Click on the “Register” icon at the very right hand side of the index bar below the Chrysalids temporary Logo.
2) Fill in the username that you wish to log in under.
3) Type in your chosen password twice.
4) Type in a contact email address (this is a required element so be careful to type accurately as your activation key will be sent to this address) twice.
5) Select whether you wish to have your email address hidden or not.
6) Enter your birthdate then select if you wish to have your age showing or not.
7) Select your gender and decide if you wish to have it showing or not in your profile.
8) Read the Security Check code in the grey box with the squiggles inside (if you can’t read it, refresh the page and see if the next one is easier to read) then type the code you see into the text box below.
9) Read the terms and conditions of use then click “I Agree” then click on the “Create Account” button.
10) You’ll be taken to a new screen which tells you to enter your activation code. It would be wise to open a new tab or window before checking your email inbox for an email from “Message Board”. The heading will read “Account Activation: ” followed by your chosen username. If it does not appear within five minutes, check your junk box as it may have been sent there by mistake.
11) Open the email and either click on the link provided to activate your account or, if that fails to work, copy and paste the activation key (which is below the link) on the activation page back at the forum.
12) Et voila! You’ll be able to access the forum and explore The Chrysalids Writers Forum.
